I will use Vegas as an example.
    Chandler Stephensons.
    Alex Tuch.
    Peyton Krebs
    And a first.
2 proven NHL players, with term left. And a young prospect. Buffalo would be able to take back some salary too if Vegas wants to dump more cap.

I wouldn't take this if I were Buffalo, even though I'm a Rangers fan. They're giving up practically a franchise center for a some first round picks and 1 NHL roster player...in my mind they will definitely want top end potential back, which Rangers have plenty of in their prospect pool. Question is, will the Rangers be willing to give up any of the big pieces like Kakko or Lafreniere, or will Buffalo only get the other high end prospects like Kravtsov, Schneider, Miller, etc.? That's probably where the deal collapses and Buffalo goes elsewhere

Try Cody Glass, Alex Tuch, 2 firsts and something else of lesser value (like a non 1st and buffalos 5th back)

You need some type of certainty in the return.
    Example: Girard + Jost + Newhook + 2 1sts

    1. If Eichel is put on market, it means he has asked to be dealt. Buffalo won't have a ton of leverage (their leverage is not trading him).
    2. In this tight cap era, it won't be for a collection of futures and picks, the return will be mostly NHL players.

I'd say take out Krebs or 1st and that is probably the type of return people should expect.

    Stephenson
    Tuch
    Krebs or 1st
    (and thats it)

I'd think Kadri, Girard, Newhook (or something like that) would be more likely
(more assets with contracts, fewer prospects and picks)

buffalo would trade him before his NMC clause kicks in. teams will be lining up for a an elite center in his prime under contract with term. when are those guys available?

i mean i wouldn't say no. i just dont think its reasonable to get krebs and 2 firsts. i would bet they value krebs more than a late 1st. happy to put a condition on one of the 1sts like making one lottery protected.
