My guy just gutted the Oilers of the whole prospect shelf for a one year push. Collectively, these deals are really bad for the Oilers beyond this season.
You got rid of Yams, Bear, McLeod, Savoie, Lavoie, Jones, Safin, a 1st and a 2nd for Ekholm and some UFAs.
Hall, Granlund, and Danault all UFAs looking for a pay raises.
On top of that, none of the deals make sense on their own. The Oilers are just entering their window. A little later than ideal, but this is the first season since their "run" in 2017. All of these guys you are trading for can be signed for free in the offseason. And its not even like this was done last summer. With the shortened season and quarantine period, you'd be trading all those assets for like 20 games from these guys.
Imagine the goalie, 1st line winger, or top pairing dman with team control assets like that could get.
