Don't worry, they are the opposite of patient executives.

Just an FYI but you can’t do conditions on picks based on a player re-signing per the new CBA.

Yeah they would probably accept, but they don't need any bottom 6 depth players coming back.

I would say no to this trade for the following reasons.

You move chiarot for Pettersson. Yes he’s younger but he’s locked up for several years and Habs have Romanov, guhle, norlinder, fairbrother, struble, harris all coming in the next 1to 3 years. You are not getting much offense out of him and this will stifle what is coming.

Then in Danault you’re bringing back a winger that we have plenty of and you moved him to centre. He only wins 38% of his draws. So if you move danault bring back a better Centre or why move danault?

Burke is patient. Believe it he was fired in sixth years as Leafs GM/President as then he complained that the Leafs owner didn't give up enough time to make changes.
Surprised Burke hasn't blamed the Pittsburg media or fans for the state of the Pens during his short tenure

Valid point about Pettersson and his contract, and the potential log jam coming up on the left side
