You could get more for him but Foudy and a 2nd is a great start for Hertl, I'm very high on Foudy

I think it depends what you think of Foudy, I think is a Top 6 FWD in the future at worst

The Sabres have enough terrible contracts, why would they want to add Martins and pay a Second rounder to boot. Merkley isn't that much of a sweetener!

If I'm the Sharks and I need to trade Hertl, I'm looking to get a package similar to the one Colorado got for Matt Duchene 4 years ago.

Also, you can only trade Hertl to 3 different teams and I don't think Columbus is one of them.

His list probably consists of Vegas (to prevent a trade from happening) + 2 teams that are cup contenders or who have a recent history of winning the Cup.

This ain't it chief :/

Hertl signed that contract when Sharks were good. Given how bad that locker room is now I think he would open his trades up to most teams who look like a contender, but that wouldn't be Columbus.

Good luck on the Bobby Ryan signing, He's already said that he wants to finish his career in Detroit and Yzerman will sign him back this coming summer.
