Doughty Vlasic especially here is sneaky bad

Both aged poorly

Jonathan Toews literally had 60 points in 70 games last year, Benn has 10 in 15 so far this year, and Jakub Voracek has 15 in 18. None of these guys belong on this team. I know their contracts are large and the analytics aren't great but its honestly insulting to consider productive players near PPG paces as bad contracts. Drew Doughty hasn't been incredible, but hes near a PPG with an elite CA/60. I know the contract is big but he also shouldn't be on this team, hes been much better than his California counterpart Erik Karlsson and his team is actually in a playoff race rn. There are worse players on big-money contracts that could be used instead of these NHL valuable players.

Once again, agree with you that there are a lot of good players on this team. Some of these players are still really good, but the term and/or contract length is too much.
