Blow it up we suck

Created by: Mwasylko34
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 7, 2021
Published: Mar. 7, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Dahlin and Reinhart are the only pieces I want to keep. No one will take Skinner's contract. Fire Krueger. Use all the 1sts and 2nds and add quality pieces in the offseason. Would really love to get Dvorak or Schmaltz from AZ as a solid center. They need draft capital and now we have it

What's Jokiharju worth to ya?
I don't think Debrusk is the answer for a team that needs to apply themselves. They guy coasts all day.

Give you a 2nd for Montour. Don’t really want him though. But you are not getting Debrusk for a mediocre rental.

He hasnt been great this year but i think hes an important part of their future. With that said if they had to trade him i think hes prolly worth a second or a similar player such as a 3rd line player

I'll give you Alex Killorn and a third and Coleman's rights before he's UFA?

If coleman resigned thatd be an overpayment IMO but Buff would take that and run with it i think

Coleman isn't resigning in Tampa. So using his rights to move some salary and get a young dman would be worth it.

Staal and/or ullmark are the only real pieces of Interest as deadline pick ups for the avs

Reider is pointless, you can get the same quality of depth player as him in a waiver pick up

Pass from us there isn’t a need for us to offer the world are teams finally coming together if we can get him at a reasonable price then sure but not sending those two especially without the security of a contract with zib

Not blowing up our team for Eichel. Not worth it for us when our guys are finally putting it together. We’re not in a hurry, we can be patient and let our guys develop and be better off long term. Send Eichel elsewhere!!!

You dont want a top 10 center in the league with 5 years left on his contract to play with Panarin? Are you nuts? Strome is expendable, Kakko has shown flashes here and there but not all that exciting and same with Chytil. Id want to win now with Panarin and not wait for your next draft picks to develop when you can be an immediate threat starting next year

Clearly you don’t watch the Rangers game in and game out. Over half our team is younger than 24 and still developing. Eichel has no track record in the playoffs or proven he can elevate his game to drag a team there. Why is that worth so much in terms of young players and picks. So he can come here and complain. If he can’t survive the pressure of playing in Buffalo he won’t last a season in NY. Strome is not as bad as people give him credit for and with Mika struggling he certainly is not expendable as you say. Oh but he rides the coattails of Panarin, news flash he’s played some of his best hockey all year since Panarin has been out. Let’s not act like Eichel on the Rangers automatically gives us a cup or guarantees the playoffs cause it doesn’t. Otherwise wouldn’t he have made it at least once in his time in Buffalo.

Just because Eichel has made the playoffs does not mean he is not worth this package. If the Sabres did not have Eichel they would be in last place every single season. He had an MVP level last year and has established himself as a top 10 center and top 15 player in the game. One player cannot drag a team to the playoffs and that as your argument is silly as to why he is not worth it.

But we don’t need that. As much as we need a center, we honestly don’t have to add a top 10 player in the game. Not when it costs that much to acquire. The biggest thing we lacked in 2014 when we went to finals was star power. We finally have that in Panarin and look to have it in Fox and Laf. Big question is whether Mika can rebound. If he can we’re good, if not we’ll need to upgrade long term or draft someone that can be that guy for us. Plus $10 mil for Eichel is expensive considering all the guys we’re gonna need to resign in the next 2-3 years. If he is worth as much as you think send him someplace other than the Rangers for that package. It’s as simple as that. 29 other teams you can send him to, pick one of those teams!!!
