Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 8, 2021
Published: Mar. 8, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Included other players I would like the pens to look at under LTIR.

Like the Red wing options because they will cost less likely then the other options.

Any other players you think the pens should be realistically interested in?

"Maniscalco was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to the taxi squad Saturday"

something tells me Ceci gonna be the odd man out shortly.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. Ceci has played pretty well this year actually. I don't see the pens wasting a year on Maniscalco's entry level deal for 20 games of a season in which they already have 5 NHL level RHD.

Way to much to give up for Ryan; a 3rd line rental.

I honestly think Glendening is going to be the one that gets a better package cause he does more to help a team win. Just figured since I had both I would have to pay a little extra

I think Cousins would be an underrated move for this team, but I’m not sure he’ll be traded. I think Poile signed him for expansion draft. Not sure he’s moved this year.

I don't think your contract slides at 22.
I think that is for 18-19 year olds.

Maniscalso was a healthy scratch in Wilkes and has played just 2 pro games. He isn't even close to NHL ready, especially when you consider that Ceci has played quite well

Hmm good to know, still don't know if he can jump that high on the depth chart just yet, think that move was more to get taxi squad players some playing time in Wilkes

Not sure what Pens are offering here, but am guessing Riikola, Sceviour, O'Connor, etc

Maniscalco, Currie and Larmi were all assigned back to WBS this afternoon.

That is a theory I haven't thought of before and it makes sense.

I think that’s why a lot of his UFA signings were 2 years specifically — Boro, Benning, Cousins — as opposed to 1 years (which really only Boro could’ve maybe gotten a 2+ deal elsewhere). I think Poile still likes the players, but the term screams expansion draft to me.
