Although as we didn’t win this trade, we didn’t need a defenseman like pionk and we needed a defenseman like Trouba. Trouba has been a lot better than last season

Hey, happy for it to be a win-win though. I think Jets fans are more openly excited because they got BLASTED initially for this trade so it's nice to see it's not as bad as everyone thought!

Jets did well on that trade. Trouba was going the UFA route and had just one year under Jets control. We'll see if that contract given to Trouba was value wise 8m...7th highest Dman in the league.

Did everyone criticize them? Interesting. It's worked out pretty well for them, I think. Trouba has been pretty good for the Rangers, too, though. If anything I think they're more equal than anyone on either side thought.
