I think the avs would be a little better off and have 2 lines that are better than most teams first. Rants has never wowed me by himself, he's a great compliment to mack but can help a lot of players be better.

With echiel he's able to open up his linemates potential more than rants can. My thoughts anyways.

Put Kadri at 3C.

Mackinnon - Eichel down the middle would be awesome, I would do this trade value-wise. That said, it might not be a good look to trade a guy you recently extended long-term as an RFA when Buffalo is where you're burying them.

I couldn't put myself to put Kadri on the 3rd line again ha! If we got an elite center, I would be a lot easier loosing compher and Kadri to make cap space. Plus knowing Newhook is coming soon to fill in that 3C role. They way Jost has been playing, 3C would be a deserving role.

As for moving Rantanen. It's business, he proved that himself holding out last year for a payday.
