Description

I'm playing around with a Buffalo rebuild and want to know if this trade appeals to Philly fans; I've seen several posts lately acquiring Ristolainen and it appears to me that you might want him short-term to address the lack of depth at RD. I wouldn't mind the second being shifted to 2022.

I'm not familiar with the Flyers, so please forgive (and advise me about) my line and defense combinations.

Risto is worth more than that. I don't think anyone picks up gus off waivers because of space. 1st and a middle teir prospect for Risot with 0 retained might be closer?

Thanks for the response. Would Rubtsov be an acceptable prospect? I don't think Risto is worth a first.

Risto is an interesting fit bc I believe he would benefit big time from a change of scenery. Buffalo screwed him up big time right from the beginning by rushing him to the NHL, poor development and has had crap behind the bench. But I don’t really see Philly being in the running. We really need a guy like Ekholm who can give you steady minutes with minimal mistakes. Things have just gone off the rails on D without having Niskanen to rely on 20+ minutes a night

Ristolainen has only one year left on his contract after this season; at the beginning of this year, many Buffalo ACGMs proposed trading him for a first-round draft pick (plus or minus) and were universally disparaged, and I don't think his stock has risen this season. I think the question is whether Philly fans would accept a second and German Rubtsov for him.
