Why would you want johansen, you get the same production from coyle for 3 million less dollars.

Johansen is an all star. He’s just not playing like it now. He’s the type I’d take a chance on. Especially if taking his contract gets me elkhom and Arvds.

Like 6 years ago in Columbus he looked good, he hasn't show more than 15 goals in like 6 years. You don't take chances with 8 million dollars.

Johansen 4 more years 32M. Coyle 5 more years 26.25M. More money but less term for same age player with Johansen being more productive. I would take this contract to get Ekholm and Arvidsson. If Boston is BUYING this trade has had some thought put into it. I think Boston should sit tight/SELL this trade deadline but if they are going to be buyers this is the a trade that has merit. Well done. The caveat is Coyle's modified no trade clause.
