Why Elvis!!!! Bud this fan base annoys me... get someone better. This is worse than the Georgiev hype.

Hopefully Campbell can keep this up. He's first in the league in save percentage right now... good goaltending for sure.

Elvis is good, cheap, waiver-exempt, and more likely to be available than other goalies. Other than maybe Kuemper, which better goalie is on a seller?

Yeah, well, so did Freddie. They must be made for each other.

No he isn’t. Other than exempt. Ullmark is much better and ufa at the end of the year.

This is just more leaf fan insanity. Georgiev 2.0. Ullmark has a better track record on a worse team.

    No, he doesn't.

He has a bit of a longer track record, but Elvis has significantly better career numbers, including just an amazing performance tonight.

Well people need to also consider the defense/team playing in front of said goalies. Whether it's Korpisalo, Merzlikins or Kuemper.

How much of what people see out of these goalies is them vs what the players in front of them do for them?

This is an important question because the Leafs defense is not like Columbus' or Arizona's.

People don't need to consider it at all.

This isn't the 1980s. With two clicks you can look up GSAx and SA%x at 5X5. Both of which Kuemper and Elvis significantly beat Ullmark at.

And just to be clear, I'd be fine with any of the goalies mentioned coming over at the right price. I only commented on a post that said Elvis wasn't a good goalie. Which cannot be backed up by any meaningful statistic.

Bit longer? Career numbers? He’s played 44 games... so he had a good game tonight... clearly that is a huge indicator for future success.

    Why gamble?

OKay, so why not take a goalie that's doubled Ullmark in games played, and absolutely smashes all of his stats - Kuemper.

Ullmark is younger and Ufa, not much of a gamble if he doesn’t work out. I would be okay with kuemper though as well. With injury issues in the Arizona net and the fact they aren’t out of the playoff picture completely why do they move him? Two sides to every trade.

Like I mentioned before, I'd be happier with (Insert any of the three)/Campbell than I would Andersen/Campbell.

Hey analytics are great, they tell you something but not everything. I do feel those analytics numbers would look a little bit different playing behind a defense like Toronto's.

Don't get me wrong, I think you and I are on the same page about Andersen. Infact, I started believing that Andersen is not the goalie for this team at the beginning of last season and that was an unpopular opinion back then.

I do agree on both aspects.

And you were ahead of the curve. I was still making excuses for Freddie until this season. None of the evidence justifies that support anymore!
