trade deadline

Created by: fil97
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 22, 2021
Published: Mar. 22, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1st trade:
sorry but pete does not fit and his cap is too high for us. this is a very generous trade (but possible) from winnipeg / any other team that needs a D. (we need picks to retool)

2nd trade:
montreal doesn't use mete at all he has played like 8 games this year... cheap contract and a guy that could really fit well, can resign low, and potential for future.

3rd trade:
we don't give up much and can get a good 3C for playoffs. we know and love bonino, perfect fit (2 cups), one year left on the deal. No risk high reward move. could even resign at a lower price if he fits well.

3rd line will be zucker-bonino-? one of lafferty, rodrigues oe jankowski

with this moves we save some cap for next year for a top 6 w and/or 3rd line center (depending on the developments of young players like poulin legare poj) plus a second round pick a good future D in mete without giving up too much.
we also get bonino for a run and who knows once we make it anything can happen.

i like this. The bottom 6 looks a lot better but Lafferty just looks out of place. maybe one more minor deal to shore that up would be ideal and u have a competitor

I doubt Minnesota will help Pittsburgh in any way. We own your 1st round pick, so we want you to lose.

This doesn't do anything for the Wild. Take out the two worthless players and send a better pick back. You'll get outbid with this offer.

We can’t afford Sceviour or Riikola, and both would have to go through a quarantine anyways. Mete has played well when he’s in the lineup, we just have good depth on D, and the habs want to keep their team just as good.

Guerin isn't going to help Pittsburgh unless it helps Minnesota too. This doesn't, at all.

My point is that Minnesota isn’t going to give away Bonino for free while they’re trying to make the playoffs themselves.

Habs will keep Mete for the same reasons you want him.

So no deal - what you are offering does not interest MTL

You make zero sense. Wild are in a better spot for playoffs then Pittsburgh. Pittsburg is worse than wild.

Wild have Pittsburgh 1st round pick, & calen Addison for Zucker whose not been good for your team

1. zucker was good last year, had a rough start to this year as the whole team did and he got injured when the team was starting to get better. just wait he will be good.

2. minnesota is NOT a better team then the pens. yes you're right when you say that minnesota has a better chance of making the playoff but not because your team is better. Your division is much easier with 4 rebuilding/very bad teams so you 'have' to make the playoffs BUT guerin knows it wont be a long run. The pens have a tougher division and will battle with boston and philly for the last two spots but looking at the schedule a very good chance of making it. and with sid and geno you never know what can happen once you make it.

3. plus make it a third rounder maybe but you won't get more then that for bonino

Dude wild aren't trading bonino, you can keep dreaming, & not living in reality

Wild aren't helping Pittsburgh at all, no matter what lack of reasoning on your part think. Dude Guerin isn't interested in helping Pittsburgh plus Pittsburgh made his mentor retired

Wild are a fact better than Pittsburgh no matter what you think, or say. Wild swept one of the best teams in NHL Vegas 2 games in a row

I mean, they are. Half of this years roster wasn't here last year, and at least a quarter of this years roster won't be here next year. They're filling roster spots with stopgaps, more or less, until guys like Rossi and Boldy can take over. They're focusing on continuing to build the prospect pool and the team via trades and drafting. They're rebuilding.

That doesn't make the OP's deal any good, but the Wild ARE rebuilding, there's no reasonable way to deny that.
