People who don't follow the Hawks don't really know how good Hagel has been, but people who don't follow AZ don't realize that Garland is likely the single most underrated player in the NHL right now.

However, I think he falls into that fringe 2nd line guy that the Hawks have plenty of. Hence, why including him with Nylander and a 1st which compensates for Garland's scoring ability.

AZ won't accept this trade. The unprotected 1st and Boqvist is the minimum. Garland is that good.

***EDIT*** If we really want Garland...and I would LOVE to have him on the Hawks! You Offer Sheet him after the 2021 draft. AZ is strapped for cash. BUT it's a risk. 2022 is a really good draft.
