Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
As much as I hate Debrusk I’m not trading him for D help when the secondary scoring is the issue. If I’m trading Debrusk at the deadline it’s a hockey deal for an upgrade to the forward group preferably with term. If not ride it out and reevaluate in the offseason where more options will present themselves.

I see, you're trying to buy good players for pennies on the dollar because you think Arizona's biggest priority is getting rid of the money.

It is their biggest priority. 🤷🏻‍♂️ And you have no idea what my offer would be. But everyone is overvalueing Gsrland to begin with.

He’s an ok middle 6er. Not a 1st line stud.

If any team acquires him, they will have much higher view of him as a player.
Pretty much a lock to be top-6 for almost any team.

The reason why he is valued so high is becuase of age and team control and cap hit. I understand he isn’t a stud but all those things factor in he’s 25 with I think 2 more years of RFA and a good cap hit for a contenting team

He is arb eligible. Which is why Zona is listening. He’s getting a raise next year. This is his last cheap year.

Yes and a contending team will take advantage of that in a cap strap year the cap will go up a bit next year and once he’s in the system it’s easier to negotiate guys in arb don’t get 5+ mil look at Debrusk this year

Still a significant raise. Something Zona is trying to avoid.

Like I said, Studnicka, Beecher, 1st, 2nd is the type of offer you'd likely have to compete with.

Minnesota's hole is at top 6 C, not bottom 6

Lol. BS

Garland has averaged .560 ppg

Debrusk .566, and he’s younger.

So 1st, 2nd, Foote, Mercer. You doing it? No. Ok. It’s ridiculous to even think it. 1st and Schnarr? Maybe.

Schnarr + 2nd...in a heartbeat.
Mercer, Foote, 1st, 2nd...no way. Mercer and Foote are A-prospects.
Studnicka somewhere between A/B and Beecher a B.
And our 1st will be, unfortunately, a very high one.

There you go. Garland is not pulling 4 solid pieces.

Coyle went for 2nd and Donato. Pretty comparable. Coyle had more value being able to play C. Garland has extra value because of this years cap hit.

But let’s stop pretending he’s something he’s not just because he is the flavor of the week.

First, Arizona is 2 points out of a playoff spot. Don't think they are trading one of their key contributors as long as they are in the hunt. Second, next year they have 32M in cap space. They won't go near the ceiling but still have to get to the floor. Might as well sign a good player who is still RFA and get fair value for the money.
