Buffalo's current rumored ask involves getting "4 first round" pieces ... you've just given them 5 plus 2 more pieces.

Why would he be in it? Buffalo would decline this offer anyway.

Well that’s a mistake to decline that offer. But I understand you want Kakko, Laf, fox, Miller and shesty +++. Eichel will stay out for 5 years

Rangers aren’t even a fit. They don’t really have the right pieces the have the prospects but not the player in return Buffalo would probably want back.

Who is the player you would want back? Use others teams as an example since we aren’t the fit

I will use Vegas.
Stephenson 3 year cheap deal very underrated fills 1c spot.
Tuch good contract underrated winger long term contract.
Krebs
1st round pick.

Now Vegas couldn’t fit under the cap without trading off another piece and now their depth is completely shot. But I understand what the package is. Just off the top of my head I can’t think of any teams that could give that up, take on the salary cap hit and still be as good as they are. Maybe TB could afford to lose that type of package. Cirelli, Joseph, Killorn/Gourde, Cernak/Foote, 1st/2nd

Funny enough they may be the best trade partners

Yeah Vegas is super aggressive. It would have to be a 3 way trade. Maybe Buffalo retains half of Fleury and sends him to Pittsburgh.

Can I just ask, and this is a serious question... what exactly does Buffalo want? What exactly is the right fit? The Rangers are a team with an absolute bounty of things to choose from, so are the Kings, Avs, etc... so my question is; what on gods green earth would satisfy Buffalo in a trade because it doesn't seem like much will do it lol and if NO team has the exact assets you want, you're either going to rot with Eichel until he demands a trade or you're going to have to compromise. So, What exactly are you guys looking for?

That’s exactly what I’m saying. I keep seeing these offers of 6 1sts(equivalent or more) and they say Nah. Meanwhile I’m not cool with giving that much up, not even close. Some of their fans want a rebuild while a bunch want legit roster players so it seems like there’s a breakdown in their fan base. I think many of them don’t actually understand what draft picks become as their scouting hasn’t been very good for a long long time. The last time we traded up a few spots for a defender it was Miller, now we did it again to get Schneider, likely not a miscalculation for them to ask for him. Chytil is putting up points like Zibby did at the beginning, Kravs is on pace to be better than Kaprizov but the foresight isn’t there because many of their fans either want someone(s) to make them better than they are today or want to destroy what we have done over the last 4 years. It’s not the right mindset

My bad.. shouldn't have quoted you there; I think i clicked the wrong comment grimace (as we normally agree).

I guess it was just a blanket statement to Buffalo fans. You just said it though... there's a breakdown in the FAN BASE.. regardless of what the package is, and that could potentially include zib plus three assets and a pick; the fans aren't going to be happy because they want to make a trade for someone (or multiple people) that are going to make them better now & in the future. If they're scouting sucks, it doesn't matter. If their player development sucks, it doesn't matter. If their front office guys don't know what they're doing, it doesn't matter. What makes you think that buff will be better off developing Kravtsov if you can't even develop Eichel..? Because i'm taking Eichel 10 times out of 10 between those two.

I think a lotttttttttttttttttttt of buff fans are going to be extremely disappointed with whatever package they get, and the rest of the league will look at it like a treasure trove. There is no package that will satisfy Buffalo fans if their mindset is to trade Eichel and become an immediate contender with future assets. And on that note... there's no team stupid enough to give that up.
