This seems like it would be an overpayment for Wood but it would also take one to get him out of NJ imo. He seems like a player that is benefitting from the system that he plays in and has a type of game that provides more value to NJ than what another teams perceived value would be.

Wood would be a very good winger to have heading into playoffs and I think it would definitely be worth it to see his value.

This is largely the reason that I don't see him being dealt. The price for him is probably too high for a team look at trading for him. I personally also don't want to see him go because of how few players on NJ play the gritty style of game that he plays.

How much value is there in Tim Liljegren? I mean I have watched him play and Haalander has moderate upside for sure but struggles at Centre against good players and may likely end up on the wing in the NHL level (providing he earns his way to play at the NHL level)? So this trade comes down to Timmy's value and what both teams need.

Miles Wood is a player that every team in the NHL would love to have - speed, big body, hits, has some offensive upside, grit and a coachable team player - If this is seen as a gross over payment, I am sure over half the NHL teams would be willing to offer similar packages to land Miles on their team.
