Yeah, if he gets on a good team, I bet he can be the player he used to be. In the Laine-Dubois trade, in retrospect it looks like both sides should've stayed put. It just made 2 super talented players worse.

Jets are happy with Dubois. I mean you as a jackets fan know yourself that he’s not only known for scoring points. He’s starting to piece his game together and is getting better. Can’t wait to watch him in the playoffs this year.

Laine on the other hand is getting screwed by torts’ coaching style. I mean, he also doesn’t have as great of a supporting cast as he did in Winnipeg. Columbus is in a tough spot, need to figure out what direction they’re going. If Jones wants to leave, then you need to move him next TDL. Torts won’t be resigning with the jackets, so I think jarmo will be safe due to that. Honestly CBJ should move a lot of their pending UFAs and retool. Move Foligno and Savard to start, then next year move Jones for a huuuuge package if he doesn’t want to stay. You guys could be set for a nice retool after that.

Torts is trying to make him a two way forward/power forward. I don’t understand that. That’s like Chicago trying to make Kane a two way guy. They should realistically just allow him to be his free flowing offensive type.

I always thought Jets should have made a deal with CAR for Necas and Pesce. Laine would look good with Aho and Teuvo.

I think florida is the ideal landing spot for laine though. Roslovic and laine would thrive on that team. Just didn’t have the C that Winnipeg needed.

I always thought Necas was better from Laine right from the start. I would've liked Laine to play with Teuvo and Aho though. Maybe in the Olympics.

Alex Ovechkin may have had the best year if his career under Trotz and a similar type thing could have worked For Laine if he busted his ass Under Torts. Who did Ovi finally get the ring under.
