Well, Soda and Nemeth have been Avs before so who knows ? As for Dub, yeah I don’t know, but he looks thrilled to be playing with the Avs.

But I made this team just to see how far we could keep EJ on the roster assuming he waives. Looks really doable to me, it looks possible to keep Saad and even Donskoi and Graves.

Kaut is either going to be on the team or traded, nothing left to prove in the AHL, and his upside is higher than what Soda is now same with Timmins compared to Nemeth. Dub maybe but IMO that mean Francouz has a career threatening injury. The big thing is the Avs know the best way to STAY good is to draft well and let those guys work into the line up like Kaut, Bowers and Timmins and not waste time and money on guys that are bottom 6 3rd pairing guys. Newhook is a natural replacement for Kadri, Makar, Girard, Toews and Byram are your elite top 4 for the foreseeable future eating 22-25 minutes each a game, meaning you can work and protect young guys into the line up same in the bottom 6.

Yeah, Kaut will probably be ready next year, but I see him on a third line RW, so that means Avs lose or trade Donskoi. Now it will be a long season, with many injuries as usual, and Kaut should be at least the 13th forward on the team. Maybe Bowers can win a spot in the lineup as 4th line LW. Depends also if Compher stays on the team. Then you also have Ranta who is quite impressive already. Timmins could be a 6th or 7th D, I think he’s capable to stay in the lineup, but Bednar doesn’t to have much confidence in him. Timmins lacks confidence in himself too.

Anyway, the future is now, and it’s bright !
