Driedger - more $ and term

We are talking about Toronto, not Edmonton. I think Coleman will get $1 million more and Hyman will take less

Not about EDM, I just think there will be competitive offers around the NHL and that those prices are too low. I would love Hyman in EDM, but I do not think for a second he would sign there. Kraken have cap space, MTL has space, MIN, etc.

All those guys are having career years, or close to it. Toronto will be lucky to get them all.

A legitimate argument can be made for Hyman deserving more $ than Nylander based on overall value he brings to TOR. If he thinks about his situation first then, just like Matthews, Marner, Tavares, and Nylander and did, then he will be getting paid more than $5M a season.

I hope EDM offers him $7M, because to that team, he is worth every penny.

Just looking at this objectively. Albeit, others will disagree. It's only an opinion.

Driedger likely to get a 2 year deal around that value, it's not terribly far off. More of the situation doesn't fit him, he'll look for somewhere where he has more of a chance to be the go to guy, that's just not Toronto.

Hyman likely won't get more money. $4.5M is a lot for a guy who's production number is carried by the guys he plays with. He'll take less cap hit and more term to stay, and with his history of knee issues now, 5 years at $4.5M is gonna be a good deal for him. It could suck for anyone in 3-4 years that signs him.

Weenberg likely wouldn't get more than that. He was bought out by Columbus and has been a decent fit in Florida but nothing special. With the flat cap and owner's financial issues around the league no team is gonna over pay for an offensive minded 3C. Can't see them wanting to commit more than 1 or maybe 2 years.

Coleman probably gets more term, maybe a slightly higher money. I'd agree with that, but I wouldn't throw this idea out of the realm with the way the market is now. Everyone thought Hall would get longer term and more money and he didn't. Things are different now. Wouldn't be shocked by something like that happening for the player thinking it's a better fit to win rather than cash in

If Edmonton offers Hyman 7 m say hello to the next Lucic/Clarkson. It's a bad idea.

He's a 4-5 million dollar player but because of how he clicks with Toronto I think he'd be worth 5-6 million.

My hope is Toronto gives him 7-8 years to bring the aav down.

Essentially give him a 5*5.25 and 3*2.75 and the aav will be mid 4s

I think Driedger would want more for a one year deal. Like 4ish.

If you give him a few years I suspect low 3s.

Coleman likely isn't worth much more but because of his style of play there may be a bidding war

The leafs should give him more term. Give him a 3 year 7-8 million dollar deal.

    Agree with Coleman and Drieger.
    Wennberg that's probably fair.
As for Hyman, 4.5 might be a little low, but he's been very clear from the start he only wants to play in Toronto. So I if anyones taking less money for more term, it's Hyman.

Hyman isn't going to free agency. He is from Toronto, is given a huge role with the leafs, and obviously wants to be a leaf. If Seattle weren't on the horizon, he would already be resigned. Driedger would be good for the leafs but yeah that deal isn't cutting it. Same can be said about Wennberg and Coleman
