I think there is a pretty strong understanding that Lucic will waive for the expansion draft, I don't think he would get taken but Treliving did not have to reinstate his NMC after the trade and that's why from day one of that trade it's been assumed that he waives.
If he doesn't it would be reeeallllyy tough to see Backlund go.

No way we protect Geekie. He has got all the chances he needs and he has proven he can't put up numbers. I'd rather protect someone like Niederreiter who can contribute every night despite his slight overpayment.

I actually think the Caps will go 7-3-1 and not sure if they leave Ovi unprotected or not. Not sure if they can get away with that. If they can I think they will protect: Backstrom, Oshie, Kuzy, Mantha, Wilson, Eller, Sheary. If they have to protect Ovi, sheary is exposed. On D: Carlson, Orlov, Schultz. Goaltender: Samsonov.

You did a good job with the Jets. Nice to see someone finally protecting Stanley over DeMelo. Will be interesting to see how the Copp situation plays out.
