Seattle will likely take a FW from Boston. To many D available elsewhere. If they did take a D Lauzon or Zboril would both be picked before Clifton.

This would be the Devils protection list:

Nico, Bratt, Wood, Zacha, Kuokkanen, Sharangovich, McLeod
    Severson, Subban, Siegenthaler
    Blackwood

    Unprotected: Butcher, Bastian, Johnsson, Merkley

Pretty sure Colorado can ask Johnson to waive, and they can just save that 1st when Seattle picks someone like Jost.

No idea why Seattle would go for Rakell like that...

Rangers protect Blackwell, on pace for 50 points and 25 goals in 82 games whereas Howden is a bad player on the 4th line and Gauthier is routinely a healthy scratch

    kadri isnt being exposed either

and even if he wasnt, a 1st and Jost to protect him? Not a fat chance they do that

Write me you Avs protection list please. If Kadri isn't exposed, then Toews/Girard or Burakovsky will be.

Girard or Toews wont be exposed. This isnt rocket science. 7-3-1 bc Erik Johnson is waiving or being bough out. Hes been injured for over a year.

Borgstrom will probably be protected. The Hawks love him and he was payment for taking on the Connolly contract. The notable guys the Hawks expose are probably Gaudette, Stillman, Kampf, and Subban.

Wow, this is a ton of work. Kudos. For Pittsburgh though, Zucker is definitely getting exposed over Teddy. It makes more sense given age, production, position, and contract.

If Teddy isn't available I guess Seattle might go with Aston-Reese

I hesitate between Borgstrom and Gaudette too! I'd say that Seattle will pick the one exposed between them

I could see that. Too bad they don't want to take Matheson lol. I'd love to get that contract off the books.

I could see that. Too bad they don't want to take Matheson lol. I'd love to get that contract off the books.

I guess Pittsburgh would have to give up pick or prospect as sweetener, for sure that contract isn't attractive lol

I hesitate between Borgstrom and Gaudette too! I'd say that Seattle will pick the one exposed between them

That’d be my guess too. I just think given that they took on a cap dump for Borgstrom and have talked about how much they loved him in college, they’d rather give up Gaudette who is lower upside and they got for nothing. But there’s an outside shot Nylander is exposed, tough to say, for sure. Good roster.
