Same thing everywhere he goes. He just sucks defensively. Never in a good position when he doesn't have the puck. He's cost the Leafs several goals already.

It's not really conventional when your contending team becomes "the last chance" team for a few players in the league. Galch, Thornton - and arguably Spezza and Simmonds as well.

All of them ended up playing in Toronto after failing to provide in their former, most likely weaker teams on paper.

That's a stretch. Simmonds, Spezza and Thornton wouldn't have no suitors. None were last chance. They just wanted specific opportunities. All 3 are local guys nearing the end of their careers. They all are going to be important depth guys for a playoff run.
