I think Dermott is better than Jost. That being said the Avs have too many LD already.

If I was Seattle I'd take Mikheyev over Kerfoot. Much better contract and better player imo.

Avs are stacked at d so not sure they would. Dermott would be 3rd pairing there at best.



Mikheyev is exempt from the expansion draft, at least if capfriendly (the expansion draft simulator part, not the forum) can be trusted.

Ok, i had dermott on my second pair when i was doing it, here is what my pairings looked like

Toews-Makar
Girard-Dermott
Byram-Timmins

Dermott is not taking byrams ice time, This shows exactly why the avs would not trade for Dermott. Hes a Ryan graves level Dman, not needed on the 3rd pair when Avs have plenty of options already

Toews Girard - they have been playing all year together, and Girard is actually better offensively on the right
Byram Makar - What’s been shocking about Byram is how advanced defensively he is CF 55.9, xGD 4.6 and 19 yrs old. His offense will come. That right there is arguably the best top 4 in the league for the foreseeable future.
Assuming Graves gets selected in the XD, they have EJ (if healthy), Timmins, McDonald and Baron and Helleson in the pipe line. COL isn’t trading assets for a 3rd pairing dman.

Avs wouldn't be able to protect dermott just like the leafs, also you're underpaying jost by about half

it's not good value for the avs and it's dealing from a position of weakness to add to a position of strength.

Oh, I didn't think any of Byram, Toews or Makar player right d but you'd know better than me so I'll take your word for it.

Toews and byram have played right side depending on the pairing with girard, both have played there
