1) Clearing cap space definitely. Say they cannot get rid of Johnson, Gourde, Killorn, MacTruck, or even Palat, what is the next alternative? It was suppose to be a hypothetical not saying one is better than the other which others insinuated.
2) Having a more cost controlled player. Cirelli is signed for the next two seasons at 4.8. Yes I understand he is not a guy with a cap hit you are concerned about. Chytil who is a little younger, will not cost nearly as much and still has a promising future who could wind up being just as good as Cirelli if not better.
3) Getting a prospect on defense in which Tampa has been lacking. Unlike the last couple of years, Tampa doesn't really have any prospects on the horizon of making the team. And if they did they are already on the team. You get Reunanen who will be an NHL defenseman one day but there is no room on the rangers.

I know this probably didn't convince you but at least I hope you can understand my explanation and not just roast me .

i'm upset? Every single time I see this guy post its always negative. nothing positive comes out of his posts. I am reasonable but not when someone calls me stupid just because I made a fake offer on a fan based forum. And when I fire back its a problem? Why should I explain myself?
