Hard pass from Detroit. We do not want Kerfoot, or Engvall, or Dermott. It's always one of these 3 on these AGM's and we do not want a single one of them for free, let alone giving up assets.

Why wouldn't you want Kerfoot or Dermott for free? Can't tell me either of those players wouldn't find playing time on a roster that has a winning percentage of 0.417.

Are we really going to do this again? Kerfoot isn't worth a 2nd especially one at the start of the round. He's a bottom 6 forward and that is something Detroit doesn't need any more of.

Because it doesn't help the rebuild at all, we don't need depth guys, we have those in spades. We need impact players and if we can't add one of those, we promote from within and let the kids play.

oh I didn't comment on the trade. The wings won't trade a 2nd for him I agree. Deadwingsv2 mentioned the wings wouldn't want any of them for FREE. Which I totally disagree with. Both Dermott and Kerfoot have positive value in a trade. Maybe not a 2nd but they carry some value, so if the Wings were offered them for free, the GM should be fired if he didn't accept. As they could either play in the lineup or be traded elsewhere for market value.

Not wanting him for free is a statement made out of frustration. I don't know if you noticed but during the offseason a group of Toronto fans post a few ACGMs a day trying to force the bottom half of their on Detroit for 2nd round picks. Thats why I asked Are we really going to do this again?

Once again why would Detroit want Kerfoot? And no freaking way is Kerfoot worth an early 2nd. I wouldn't give up a 5th rounder for him.
