My only comment on the lineup is that Perry has outplayed Armia so far, so at the very least they alternate with Perry getting the first game.

Perry will Def be in the line up, they got him for his experience so he will be there, I'm really hoping Staal is the odd man out but he seems to love putting Vets over Youth.
I am hoping for
Toffoil Suzuki Caufield
Tatar Danault Gally
Perry KK Andy
Leckie Evans Byron
(I like Armia a lot but he has one or 2 monster games and then he is a complete non factor, I prefer Perry he works his ass off every shift)

Yeah, it was really tough to choose between Perry & Armia for me, since it seems obvious to keep the 4th line together, at least for now. I opted for Armia because he’s a better 5-on-5 player, and he can hopefully help a struggling KK. Although I can’t deny that Perry and Gallagher form a deadly duo on the PP. Plus there’s the fact that Corey has 2 even strength points (both assists) in the past 20 games, so I went with Armia.

I sadly think KK will be the odd man out which is ridiculous...Playoff hockey is such amazing experience for young players and Staal DEF does not bring more to the table over KK even if KK has been struggling a bit, I take him over Staal every day of the week.

I agree that its a possibility that happens, but to bench your 20 year old 3rd over all pick for a 36 year old staal who has shown he no ability to play with any pace and very little upside would be pretty crazy, even for the habs. I really hope its not even discuss, KK's had plenty of struggles putting up points but defensively hes is solid minus the occasional mistake and he brings a level of physicality that staal doesnt seem interested in using.

I do also agree Perry needs to be in the line up ahead of Armia and i expect to see that be the case for game 1.

yeah I really feel like Staal will be in over KK....He was playing Staal a lot on the PP and in final minutes of games over KK :-( I think he will be in playoffs....I really hope i'm wrong though.

Now I wouldn’t put it past Ducharme to put Staal in the lineup over anyone in the Byron - Evans - Lehkonen line, which would be stupid, but I can’t see him being that dumb as to scratch KK.

Sure Caufield isn’t physical, but it’s not like he’s any less useful physically as Perry, and would be much better at avoiding hits. Also the Leafs are one of the least physical teams in the NHL, so it won’t be a big deal.

And Chiarot - Weber is terrible, but I could see Ducharme leaning that way.

Caufield increases the habs ceiling, they need him in the lineup

It’s not going to happen, but It might be a good idea to put in Gustafson instead of chiarot - better puck mover, can help the PP

I don’t think that the PP benefit of Gustafsson over Romanov outweighs the 5-on-5 deficiencies of Gustafsson. Especially since other than Jeff Petry just being a shooting threat of his own, most of the habs’ PP chances are generated down low.
