although Lundkvist is more valuable I think they would prefer Schneider+ given that they already have a good offensive dman in Hughes and he needs defensive help

We gave up a 1st and a 3rd to get him and he took massive step once he arrive in Vancouver. He is just good at every aspect of the game. I see him as a 70 point player consistently, while playing any position.

Maybe Buchnevic and Schneider could be getting close. Chytl and Lundqvist would also be of interest.

Not sure if the Rangers would want him back or need him but if there was a trade it wouldn't be just for futures, like what the Canucks gave to get him. It be something like what was suggested above, Pavel Buchnevich (with contract) plus Braden Schneider

Like others have said, Schneider would have to be in the deal and then probably someone like Chytil or Buch maybe Strome
