Description
A dream..

Ekman-Larson is entering his prime and Arizona will not be ready before couple of years. sergachev can replace to a certain extend Larsson in a couple of years and beaulieu will gain value playing better minutes. Pleckaneck provide a transition and possibly can be traded for another 1 rounder next years expecting he improves his number with Arizona playing more powerplay minutes on their first line. Mccaron is a very good proscpect to replace at some point hanzal and give size to Arizona.

That's a trade that I'd have to think Arizona takes. Given that Ekman-Larsson won't be in his prime when they're ready, if they can get a defenseman with as much potential as him, plus other assets, they make the move.

i have to agree with the trade. looks good for both teams. they might lose Markov in off season but many cheaper and younger players will be avaliable.

And do you guys think that makes Montréal a contender this years?

Center is still a little weak to my taste but I have not seen Hanzal play a lot and he might be better than I think with Gallagher and pacioretty on the wings

I think if they can make a trade to acquire a better 3rd line center from a non playoff team. If buffalo drops, Zemgus Girgensons is a good option.

Not a chance you get Ekman Larsson and Hanzal for that.

Agree there is very little chance Larsson goes for anything... But the for that is exageratate... No team would give more than that. You talk about 3 former draft pick including a very high profile top offensive defensman plus an extra la 1 st round plus a player who will fetch a first round next yeat at the deadline...

It is not a bad offer at all... You might not know much about Sergachev and Mccaron. And beaulieu is a legitimate number 4 D.

But anyway, just fun to dream about wink

ARI could do what they did with vermette. Trade him and sign him in the same offseason. Would get picks and same player back.

Arizona is not the dumping ground for bad contracts and over the hill vets. they are building but are not giving the farm away for someone else's crap. 1 good prospect, a has been and a questionable player.

Who is Montreal dumping in Arizona? they are getting legit prospects and pick for Larson.

Colorado trade is okay. I'd rather get someone else then Iginla. Feel like he would mess up chemistry like he did here in Pittsburgh.

If you think the value is that far off, then you're out of your mind. Ekman-Larsson is great, but he won't be great when the rest of the team is. They can trade him for someone that will be great at the same time the rest of the team is. Although it won't happen, if Chayka ever recieves this as a formal offer, he'd be dumb not to take it. They solidify their future defense on the left side, and they get another solid center prospect, plus a first round pick, plus a top four dman right now. In exchange for the best dman on the team, a pending UFA, and a second round pick. The team is building for the future. Ekman-Larsson will be too old to factor into that future.

I kind of agree with you even though I pretty sure they still wouldn't make this trade, OEL is 25 he still has a good 10 years ahead of him. I'm not sure you can say he won't be good when the others will be. Look around the league, Suter, Weber, Keith, Bouwmeester, Giordano, etc. All guys entering their early to mid 30's and still good.

Anyways Bergevin would never offer this so its moot to even debate.
