As a Capitals fan, I'll give you 3 firsts + McMichael + Alexeyev + take your pick of Samsonov/Vanecek for McDavid. If the Caps don't go the retool route, McDavid could obviously be a quick and easy solution to make this team a huge cup contender next year.

Everyone knew EDM would struggle once McDavid and Drai signed. The question is how long does it take to build around them.
McDavid is in no better shape going to WSH. The team is older. The goaltending is just as shaky, the prospect pool is thin from picking late year after year and frankly a rebuild is around the corner.

Wasn't dissing Tom Wilson. Was joking with OP because A) he was a Capitals fan, and B) the Oilers aren't wasting McDavid. But be my guest and talk like a 12 year old online if it helps you sleep at night.
