Ouf. Engvall over Dermott/Kerfoot? ZAR to take that awful Matheson contract? Load up on picks, man!

Engvall looks like a solid bottom six player. Matheson in sheltered role can be very good. Worst case, keep Will Butcher then trade Matheson to BUF for Okposo and a pick

Well, the first line stinks, the second line stinks, so that’s kind of important. The blue line stinks as well. This team would be very bad.

the offense is all 3rd or 4th liners with the exception of Kuznetsov and Smith. The defence is all 3rd pairers (yes Larsson sucks), maybe a couple of them can play 2nd pair if absolutely needed (Gudas, Soucy) but certainly not ideal. Then goaltending is good, no complaints there. But this team isn't a playoff calibre team. Look at the 16 teams in the playoffs this year, is this team better than any of them? No.

Change of scenery for Kuz and Patrick would be beneficial? If they get going, they would have talent on their wings. Its no Marchessault and Smith but still raw talent

A better word would be, “could.” We don’t know if it would be beneficial.

This team is legitimately one of the worst in the league.

Kerfoot/Dermott>>>Engvall. Bottom six players are a dime a dozen. Also, if ZAR is the only compensation that Seattle gets for taking an overpaid player (that has wayyyy too much term left), it's gotta be a quick "No". Buffalo isn't in a position to be giving up picks either.

Zero depth, plus everything that @cmcavoy73 said. As a Ducks fan, I would very much welcome a team that is significantly worse than our current squad (Who are already significantly worse than the rest of the Pacific tears of joy)

/i know Centers will be hard to come by but Francis values character. Kuz wouldnt be his pick.
