No. This is essentially the same roster Vancouver had this season. Reinhart, Bonino and Elliott don't put them in a contending position.

Podkolzin should be a solid addition, hoglander is only going to be stronger as well, this team would have a solid top 6, and strong top 9 unlike now

That might have been a stretch but this is a very strong team, obviously not close to Colorado but still a tam that on paper should be competing for first in the division

I think they can get to the playoffs with this team but they'd struggle beyond a favorable opening round. Forward depth and defense is a pretty suspect and there are a lot of what ifs about their younger players next season.

The team is headed in the right direction with these moves, but they've still got work to do.

They could always add Vince Dunn but that would mean trading another pick since nothing else on the block carries any value

I think adding an elite 3C would fix a lot of problems for this team. I would desperately try to get Gourde out of Tampa to fill that role given their cap constraints. Gourde for our 2nd + Focht should do it and I don't think any of the other 3C options are as good as Gourde.

Yeah you’re not winning anything with that D-core. Petey and Quinn are def not signing those contracts either

Yea you went all in by giving up good draft picks and young assets, but the team isn't any better except for Reinhart. And why does Reinhart extend? He had basically six miserable seasons in Buffalo. He can be a UFA in 2022, instead of extending with the very middling at best Canucks.
Why do Canuck have this fantasy that Seattle has any interest in one of the worse value goalies in the league 4.25m Holtby?

All you added was Podkolzin and reinhart. That D-core needs at least 1 more high impact player and skip bonino. He is past his prime

Now listen my friend. Vancouver does not need to rush at all. The worst case scenario for them is to dump cap for futures. They have a solid core. Now, draft some more good guys, be patient develop them. They have at least 3-4 seasons until their players reach their prime. So, just like in the case of Minnesota, no need to rush at all. IMO Vancouver would become the best Canadian team in a couple of years if they do not give out bad contracts or do stuff like that. Cheers.
