Going to take a significant amount more than that for Detroit to take Neal off your hands. That package isn't even close to enough to get it done.

The cbj trade seems like an overpay but we are taking back a cap hit that is larger than the goalie we are giving and is terrible( and not needed) that caphit is payed for by the first and merzy is for bear and alittle bit of the first.

Neal has been declining badly, and is owed $11.5 million over the next two seasons. Detroit isn't hurting for bad forwards, so there's no value in bringing Neal in. Edmonton would have to pay more than they're willing to move Neal to Detroit.

I'm frankly still not interested; I think Merzlikins is too valuable - not just as the established starter, but as an expansion-exempt one.
