Im starting to think eichel has to be here to start the season, just to prove hes healthy. Hopefully that doesnt hamstring us because every team looking will be close to the cap once the season starts.

I like a lot of whats here, but I think Buffalo may have to give up more to get rid of Eakin. A fourth or a third maybe? also would it make any sense to swap Cozens and Olofsson? Otherwise I like the moves made, especially grabbing Brossoit and Reilly

The Sabres don't have to give up anything to get Seattle to take any of our players. Buffalo can easily protect its value players in the expansion draft and force Seattle to take either Eakin, Okposo, Miller, or even Ristolainen. Obviously the Sabres don't want Eakin here next year they can buy out his remaining contract for a cap it of somewhere around $500,000 which is nothing.

I really don't like that thought...first it would cut the number of teams he can be traded to bc once rosters are set 10M is hard to fit cap wise
second the Sabres leverage is reduced bc teams now know the Sabres are on the clock bc of the NMC kicking in come next summer.
It's now or never to trade him in my opinion.
Personally I think if the Sabres were in the playoffs Eichel would have been dressed
