This trade was something I have been pondering and could benefit both sides.

Eichel and Reinhart are most likely out of Buffalo and are hungry for playoff action

Dubas has a decision to be made, 3 r1 exits with Matthews, Marner, and Nylander leading the team is unacceptable. Matthews has shown he is not hungry enough to push this team past round 1 and Nylander was chosen due to Marner still being a vital Penalty Killer for us.

So this trade allows for both teams to start fresh with superstars going back and fourth.
