*EXPANSION DRAFT*
Protected FWDs: Seguin (NMC) Benn (NMC) Radulov (NMC) Faksa Hintz Gurianov Dickinson
Protected Ds: Klingberg Lindell Heiskanen
Protected G: Bishop (NMC)
Dallas fans let me know about the expansion draft because I'm not sure if they want to protect Pavelski or not

Let me know about Heiskanen's contract situation and if he will go long term or sign a bridge deal

midde 6 wing and top 4 LD is the 2 biggest needs for this team so I signed Saad and Murray to fill those needs.

Meh. Lots of free goalie options equally as good as Knobby.

Stars are going for it this coming season. I don’t see them letting Pavs go. Seattle probably takes Dickie. Honestly I’d prefer they leave Faksa exposed for cap and roster flexibility purposes, but I’m realistic about who the GM is. Dobby for futures is very likely assuming they’re comfortable with Bishop’s health. Nill wants Oleksiak back and I think he is a better fit for the system than Murray. Would love to have Daddy back. I feel like him and Sekera would be the third pair as Harley still needs some work on his defensive game. I’d love to see him in from the start, but I’m realistic about who the coach is.

Fair I bet you could find a trade but you won’t get much.

If they bring Pavelski back for one more year would it still be smart to sign Saad to add more scoring depth?

Don't think Pavelski is leaving. He was one of our top forwards. It'll likely be Dickinson, or Khudobin provided we pay Seattle for taking him.

thanks for letting me know. I've seen a few expansion drafts made by people that have Pavelski going to Seattle so I wasn't sure what would happen with him

I like the idea of a mid pair LD (or RD since Miro doesn’t have a preferred side) on a two year contract. Murray might work, but he has injury issues. After this injury filled season, I might opt for a different player.

I would try to bring in a RW as well, even though I don’t think Seattle would draft Pavs. I don’t think Dallas exposes him either. It seems like the RW is less deep unless you move Seguin over.

I think Miro will take a bridge.

Dallas might pay Seattle a mid rounder to take Dobby unless something crazy happens this off-season.

I thought Saad was a LW.

I think the value on Faksa is still high, so you might be able to trade him for a protected player (and keep Dickinson). It’s better than just giving him away.

    We will see on Harley!

I’d say mediocre offseason Pavelski is a good leader so I’d say he gets protected plus he just had a bounce back season

I’d be fine with trading Fox as well, but I just don’t see it happening. I’d also kinda like to see him with better line mates. I just feel like with the center depth we have that money could be better spent elsewhere

I think JRob and Segs are gonna be a thing. Looking at what I think is a realistic offseason for Nill I think Segs is a center this year and RW the following year. I think Kivi-Hintz-Pavs is gonna be a fairly consistent line. Rads is a better fit with JRob and Segs than with Guri and Benn imo. So if we lose Rads after next year you can shift Segs over to RW and slot Bourque in there if he’s ready (he looked excellent in his set of games with the Texas Stars). Lots of options. I’m really hoping that third scoring line is Guri-Benn-Dell. If that works and Dell shows some of his offensive upside, RW isn’t as scary moving forward. I also feel like Pavs gets a cheaper one year deal next offseason assuming we make the playoffs

Saad isn’t my first choice but I wouldn’t be upset if that’s who Nill goes with. If Miro decides to go with a three year bridge deal I do think it’s smart to add a forward in the 3-4 million dollar range for 3 years. If Miro will go the full 8 now I think you give it to him and look at cheaper options for depth forwards

I think I'm going to make another Dallas one rn and base it off all the Stars fans opinions in this comment section.

Pavelski has a NMC. He has to be protected and he is not waiving for an expansion team.
