Ottawa and Calgary arent the greatest trade partner for each teams needs as Calgary is looking for a top line center or a top 6 RW. So connor brown would likely be calgarys target but that kinda defeats the whole purpose

Think Henrique will block this deal due to NTC.

If you must play in a bad team a 2C role, I'd much rather do it in California over Ottawa.

Norris or Stutzle is definitely taking the 1C role before long.

Would you do something around Josh Norris and this years 1st? Probably not but Mangiapane is pretty much untouchable right now. He has almost singlehandedly brought Canada to the finals

Mangiapane is worth way more than that, hes one of the best 2 way forwards in the league already.

"Josh Norris is Brady Tkachuk's best friend"- Pierre Dorian. I think that means he's untouchable in Pierre language.

That being said, I feel like Ottawa's more likely to take on Lucic as an asset, as he's already waived his NMC

Not really that would be a really tough sell for Calgary fans, Dadanov isn't a right shot and only had 20 points this year, while White only had 18 so it would be a downgrade either way. I could see a trade working out if you were willing to offer tkachuk but that's unlikely (Calgary would have to add here)

He waived his NMC for the expansion only, you choose what you waive for. Although his contract does become a M-NTC NMC this summer

Pinto’s floor is probably Henrique in his prime. Norris can play 1C , we just need strong wings.

Flames are not going into rebuild mode (maybe they should be) and after the worlds they likely view Mangiapane’s upside as very highly … if they didn’t already. So if you offered Brady or Tim they would jump, but he isn’t worth that much.

Dunno about that being his "floor". Based what we've seen so far, he's at absolute worst a regular NHL player, but there's still a real chance his offense doesn't translate and he ends up more of a bottom six defensive guy.

I look at him and just see so much Brock Nelson (also a UND guy). If he can give the Sens that level of play that's a huge win. I think the Sens fans who think he will be a bonafide number 1 like a Couturier or an O'Reilly really need to temper expectations.

Mangiapane is their Connor Brown. He's more valuable to them than a "reasonable trade offer" would be, same as with DTCB.

Stützle isn't going to be a C. When you hear Dorion speak about him, he very clearly talks about how he sees him developing into an elite winger.

I think Norris is already the top C, but Ottawa doesn't really have true 1C. Right now I think best case scenario for Ottawa is that Norris and Pinto hit into that William Karlsson/ Brock Nelson type where they aren't really 1st line level Cs but they can fill the role in the right circumstances. If Ottawa gets that, I think a tandem of that level can get you through even without a true 1C.

Flames don't move Mangiapane for picks. The only way he's moved is for a clear upgrade.
