Value is fair but Philly says no. Just a really bad idea to give up on the only 2 U-23 Centers with potential in the entire pipeline without any coming back

Sounds like Suter and possibly Parise will waive their NMC. I think Soucy easily gets selected by Seattle without needing a sweetener. Flyers would take that trade without the picks.

Then we can take Patrick out, take out the two picks, and add something else going to Minnesota.

Frost isn't looking like he'll crack the NHL as a center. Flyers couldn't move Patrick for the last 2 years for decent value(not even a 2nd rd pick, I think). Dumba is a 1st pair RHD, that are much harder to come by. Jones, Dumba, or Ellis is crucial this off-season.

This is my read on expansion too. As far as Dumba goes, I think MIN would rather keep him so it would probably take Frost and a 1st. Last summer would have been the time to get him, I don’t think anybody in Philly would argue that after last season.
