Description

Minnesota is going to be cap tight for years to come. They already have three pretty big pending RFAs in Kaprizov, Erikson Ek and Fiala so they basically have to let go of everyone, UFA and RFA else. Even when I only signed these three guys I still ended up over the cap so I gave a third to Seattle to take the final year of the Rask contract as well as trading Matt Dumba who Minnesota will probably lose to Seattle anyway to Winnipeg for ex-second rounder Dylan Samberg and Andrew Copp who I have playing with Fiala and Boldy. I also signed Bellemare for the PK and to be a leader on the fourth line.

This doesn't make the Wild any better. It actually makes them worse. And Copp is going to be looking to cash in on a career year, we really don't need to overpay more bottom six guys. This doesn't help our cap situation either due to that.

I'm certain the Wild could get a better return than that if they move Dumba. Start with a 1st and add from there.

That's fair I guess the only thing that makes the team better is the arrival of Boldy and Rossi but aside from that they at least stay the same.

Seattle most likely taking Soucy in that situation, cheaper solid Dman rather than taking Rask. Also dont think the wild do that Dumba trade.
Kaprisov contract is accurate, Fiala hopefully will be in about the 6.5 range, Ek will probably be about 5.5.. not sure about the copp move. Cole will also have to be signed at a much higher discount than that he will be about 1.5-2 mil
