Seems doubtful

No idea, is that an overpay for Reinhart? I do not know his value

For that kind of return I would think Buffalo would grant you early access to Reinhart to negotiate the extension on his contract before the deal goes through. Provided you can convince Kuznetzov to waive his no trade clause. And Buffalo would like to negotiate an extension with Vanicek as well.

MTL declines that trade, if Danault resign there would be no place in center with Kotkaniemi, Suzuki, Evans and Danault.

I'd imagine the Sabres want to get younger.
It's not an overpay, it just doesnt match what the Sabres need, which isnt a 30 yo Dman and center that has almost no value right now after a bad season and consecutive years of off-ice issues.

There is no value there for the Sabres. Maybe if they were a contender, and this is a deadline move.

Tough to say what Reinhart’s trade value is
He’s been solid his whole career, but took quite a leap last year as a goal scorer (finished 10th in the nhl- 1 goal more than Ovechkin)

But yeah, it’s an overpayment imo
And I’m a Sabres fan

If we weren’t trying to rebuild,
Sam for Kuznetsov is close to fair-ish
U guys would probably have to add bc Reinhart is 5years younger
Bc of the situation we are in,
we could hang on to Kuznetsov bc he’s signed….
But we’d be wasting him for a few years during our rebuild,
and we’d likely just end up flipping him

Maybe something more fitting for Reinhart would be something like Vanecek + a young talented forward prospect

How about Vanecek & Conor McMichael?

If both pan out as hoped, WSH could lose that pretty big. I think they'd probably rather give up Samsonov straight up than McMichael+Vanecek. But they still need to add some cap going back or they're losing Ovechkin.

I don’t see any reason we couldn’t take a Cap dump back from you if u had one
And maybe we could add a prospect or pick to the deal as well
