Most likely they have asked Enstrom to waive his no move. And if myers stays injured which at this point seems likely since he again isnt skating they wont have to protect him.

Regarding Myers. Why protect him? He's making 5.5m so I doubt if Vegas sees any value in taking him. And if he was taken, Jets would have 5.5m to spend elsewhere.

The trade:Yea, value wise it might be fair. But Trouba has 1.5 years and then two arbitration years, which I don't if that's in the Leafs' management wishes. A total of 3.5 years till UFA. To give up top forward prospect Kapanan, Komarov's replacement in Lindberg and maybe a lottery pick or at worse about 18th overall.
