Jones is legit and Chytil is your best bet for 2C. Why are you trading them for one of the worse players in the league and a late 1st

Blackwell (4RW), Hajek (3LD), Reunanen (#15 prospect in NYR), Henriksson (#16 prospect), #15 overall, #28-31 overall and a future pick won't get you a 1C on a great contract.

Inclusion of Reaves is actually puts more value in the Vegas side of this trade due to the cap relief it provides Vegas (just under 1 mil)...so you're essentially looking at a late 1st in exchange for Chytl, Jones, and cap relief...very bad trade!

NYR have seen how ineffective guys like McCloud and Glass are and how they actually sink the 4th line...so I think they'll stay away from Reaves. They do need to get tougher in the bottom 6- but it starts with ability to play hockey.

As far as Chytl- amazing how many people de-value him...seems older than he is because he's been around 3 years- but he is only 21. While he may never be an in your face physical player, he has shown glimpses of elite offensive ability...and I believe analytics guys have pointed out that his numbers last year were up there with up there with impressive company. In the end, he's a young developing C ... probably mid 6 C, but still with 1C upside. If he's moved there better be a sizeable package coming back.

Agree with everything you wrote there besides for 1 thing, i dont see chytl ever becoming a 1c. He imo has 2c upside with a very high likelyhood of getting there.

Fair enough...I think he eventually settles in as 2C- and not worth arguing upside here! Chytl's name does come up in terms of Rangers who may be moved...and other teams do seem interested. I'd rather see him play under Gallant to see how he continues to develop away from DQ- who had young guys (except Howden) playing scared to make a mistake.

Prob Kakko instead of Krav as 2RW....although Buch always seems to be in some sort of trade discussion (which could free up 1RW)....other than that- as an Isles fan those are the top 2 lines you want NYR putting out? Now you're scaring me! lol.

I know kakko will play RW2 but i think it should be kravtsov. I think kravtsov will be better than kakko and kakko has more trade value so i think they should trade him. Also to a rebuilding team kakko is more valuable than buch and the only teams that are trading a premium player are rebuilders.
