Vegas couldnt even entertain that, they'd be like 5mill over cap with their whole roster to resign

    Reinhart doesn't get Matthew Boldy.

Minnesota would want more if they are trading Boldy

The cap doesn't work for MN.

Boldy is too much; Addison, Marat K, or O'Rourke is more the range I'd look to give up from MN. I'm going off of a Zucker or Kapanen trades where PIT was robbed as a baseline.

As much as I like O’Rourke Buffalo does not need any more defenseman anywhere. The only thing Jason Botterill did was draft and trade for more defensemen than we could ever use. Is Boldy more valuable than Rossi? In my mind those are the two guys buffalo is asking for, pick 1.

It depends on who you ask. Right now I think most would agree Boldy would be a safer gamble than Rossi.
-Boldy is a wing who should be able to come in and play next year. Lower ceiling (top-6 wing), but higher floor (quality NHL bottom-6).
-Rossi is a center, but probably can't/shouldn't play in the NHL to start next season. Higher ceiling (1C), lower floor (bust,). The COVID issues are concerning, and nobody really has a clue what the long-term effects are on high end athletes.

I'm not really the person to ask. I've been lower than most everyone on Rossi since he was drafted.
-If it's Eichel being traded to MN, and I'm BUF, I take Rossi. High end centers are just too hard to get to not take the chance on him.
-If it's Reinhart I'd try and get Boldy if I'm BUF. MN shouldn't have any interest in that though. If I'm them I run with Boldy as a cheap ELC for the next couple of years at wing instead of the money Reinhart will get to play wing. I don't take the gamble on Reinhart as a solution to the top-6 center void in MN.

Buffalo asks for those guys and Minnesota politely tells them to shove it, as they’re discussing Reinhart and not Eichel.
