Zegras is not on Byfield or Lafreniere's level. That also doesnt change the fact that the Sabres dont need defenseman, especially in exchange for one of the best centers in the league

Without dragging his team to the playoffs once, has a serious injury and carries a 10M cap hit in a flat cap world. BUF fans just ignore all that. It’s amazing.

BUF fans have to wake up to the reality of the situation. 1. you don’t win trades involving stars 2. The cap is flat and he makes 10M. Only so many teams can afford that. 3. He has a serious neck injury. 4. He’s never made the playoffs. 5. He doesn’t wanna be a Sabre anymore. 6. His NMC kicks in soon and then the bidding war ends.

Laf and Zegras are both 2001 birth years. You’re math is awful. Also over .5 PPG for Zegras and Laf .375 PPG. That’s was a good try tho.

Ok Eichel had .8 ppg at Zegras's age and had 113 points

You crying about waking up to reality doesnt lead to ANA getting a discount. Also cap space is a non factor Buffalo can take cap back

The RHD thing is a little over played. Sure it’d be nice but Lindholm can drag guys along. They need scoring so much more. Scoring is the biggest need and then you patch the holes later.

Also I’ve long said Eichel won’t be a duck. Personally the most I’d give up is 3OA, Terry, Perrault, and some combo of Lundestrom, Steel, Jones, Mahura but that won’t be enough. Reinhart makes more sense.

Drysdale and Zegras will be wearing duck uniforms come opening night.
