You’re just wasting your time with him
He’s clearly biased, and quite delusional

The RHD thing is a little over played. Sure it’d be nice but Lindholm can drag guys along. They need scoring so much more. Scoring is the biggest need and then you patch the holes later.

Also I’ve long said Eichel won’t be a duck. Personally the most I’d give up is 3OA, Terry, Perrault, and some combo of Lundestrom, Steel, Jones, Mahura but that won’t be enough. Reinhart makes more sense.

Drysdale and Zegras will be wearing duck uniforms come opening night.

Comtois + 3rd overall + Henrique and another decent prospect.
Trade for Killorn or Palat for cheap.

Ok Eichel had .8 ppg at Zegras's age and had 113 points

What does that have to do with Laf and Zegras being ~6 months apart in age and Laf having a worse ppg?

You crying about waking up to reality doesnt lead to ANA getting a discount. Also cap space is a non factor Buffalo can take cap back

It’s not a discount. Eichel is only worth what teams will pay for him.

Zegras would stay at C. I just prefer Comtois over Terry even tho Terry is the better overall player. Just lacks a little finishing. I’m not against that package for Eichel tho and wouldn’t be too mad if it got it done. I was just throwing out one that included one of the “untouchables”.

I won’t lie I might be more tempted to go with a top 6 of

And then BUF becomes an AHL team full of guys clinging to a last chance because no one would ever want to play for a team that’s that dysfunctional.

They’re dumb if they trade Eichel without getting a blue chip prospect/roster player . Someone will give one up, but if for some reason it doesn’t happen, the Sabres shouldn’t settle for less. Eichel has 5 years left on his contract, Buffalo has more leverage than you think, even with the NMC

Quoting: Jdfitz77
He could choose his destination once the NMC kicks in
But let’s say the Sabres best offer isn’t where he wants to go
They can simply tell him he can either waive to go there….
OR he can just stay in Buffalo for 4 more years

I’m guessing he’d most likely waive
*as long as it was a decent team

Im just worried what Hall did to get to Boston, Eichel would do that to get to Boston

I agree that Buffalo should get a blue chip prospect for Eichel

Buf holds zero cards. 10M injured player that wants out.

I completely agree. His NMC starts next year, then they'll really have no leverage. I think regardless of what team Eichel ends up getting traded to, Buffalo fans will be disappointed.

Big difference there though
Hall had to be traded at the deadline, or we’d lose him for nothing in a few months
Eichel doesn’t have that leverage bc he’s under contract for FOUR MORE YEARS once his NMC kicks in

Let’s say Eichel says he’ll only go to Boston
And the Bruins are only willing to give up a package we don’t think is good enough
All we gotta do is tell Eichel we aren’t gonna trade him then

It’s not like he’s gonna sit out for 4years in the prime of his career

So he can then expand his list of places he’ll go
Or he can be stuck playing here

I’m sure he’ll be more flexible than Hall was
Hall had all the leverage
Eichel won’t

Drysdale will probably be a very good player but he isn’t the best RHD on the team right now. And as I’ve already stated, I’d rather trade Drysdale over Zegras. Patchworking a Dcore would be easier with Lindholm and Fowler than figuring out the top 6 without Zegras.
