Description
Really wanna see this. I don’t think eichel is gonna get as big of a package as everyone expects, but this is still a lot. Cap would easily be fixed. Teams with 0 bad contracts don’t have “cap issues”

Don't think the FLyers would be able to afford Fleury.

I checked, they can. Especially since they’re trying to move on from gostisbehere. But they could make it work either way. Plus fleury would be a good tandem guy with hart

You can want all you want. But it’s what teams give you. Hague is already NHL seasoned. The difference between the two is nothing

I think it’s inevitable that Buffalo gets fleeced in this trade. They have no leverage. I think la and Anaheim the the only ones willing to give up top tier prospects and a top pick (zegras/turcotte). Although la might only be willing to give up someone like vilardi. Life sucks for the sabers rn

I have done a lot of Flyers teams and not once have I had $7 mil left over for another goalie.

Well the same could be said from the other end. Buffalo might say give us korczak or no deal. I don’t think Vegas is gonna walk away from that. I was trying to make the vegas deal look better than what another team is hypothetically offering. You gotta give up something to get something

Well it depends who you sign, they could theoretically make it work. Regardless it’s just a cap dump, a lot of teams are probably willing to take fleury for a year

They literally have all the leverage until next July

If Montreal knocks Vegas out I think Vegas will ante up for Eichel if that is the direction they choose. In terms of D-men I think the Sabres would prefer a RHD, they have LD and with probably adding Power who is a LD they would want a RD

They already publicly said they don wanna bring eichel back next year. The shot themselves in the foot. His injury/surgery plus the fact that everyone knows they’re trying very hard to move him has completely destroyed his trade value. The longer they wait, the more it’ll go down. I’m pretty certain sabers fans are gonna be very disappointed with the return.
