Sam Reinhart is not worth that

I think Sam Reinhart is worth more than 9th overall pick, and probably gets more than 6.5M. That said, I think 6.5M is perfect for him.

I'd take Reinhart, No to Marcus from Pittsburgh not what this team needs and that is too much for him even with Holtby. Dubynk will get more

I think Pens will say yes to Holtby and Lind and a 3rd even.

I think Pens would even do Pettersson, C.DeSmith for Holtby(retain 1M), Lind, McEwen and a 3rd .

I think Reinhart would be looking for 6yrs at 7-7.5m. I gave him 8yrs in this to bring the AAV down to 6.5m

I'm not sold on Pettersson but he's 6'3" (skinny though) and plays a steady defensive game. If they're able to move Holtby in a deal that improves the defense then I think it's something to explore even if he's not the perfect player for them.

Probably better off to buy out Holtby. Reinhart is definitely not worth the 9OA or the contract. He is/was part of a core that was BRUTAL for his entire tenure in Buffalo. The points are there to some degree, sure, but he does not make his team mates better and he isn't a winner. It's a high price to pay for what amounts to a second line player that has not accomplished anything significant in this league.

His d game isnt that great, Elder's is better and be a better fit on a yr or 2 term and cost less in salary. Pitts would probably move Pettersson just for Holtby to be rid of that contract.
