Initial Creation Date: Jun. 28, 2021

Description
Just thinking if the Sharks want to move to full rebuild, we could help them with that, give them a potential 2C, 2LD and our 1st (#11OA) for one of their top 6 studs.

ANA takes the best offer they can get with Lindholm not re-signing there.

VGK gets DeHaan to replace Martinez at a discounted rate and a bottom 6 Centre who wins face-offs and plays PK in replace of Whitecloud who's been on the 3rd line.

Maybe a little overzealous with the VAN trade, we could look to send back their 4th or reduce it to a 3rd in 2021 providing they are happy with big Z contract.

Whitecloud would be nice but with Vegas against the cap again next season, he’s likely a player they keep. Take Beaudin out of the sharks trade. That’s definitely too much.

It seems like a massive overpay for Meier

And that’s a lot for Timo Meier. Good player but that’s a big price tag.

A young NHL player in Strome, a prospect and the 12th pick overall. That’s a lot.

That’s a lot for Lindholm too.

I think SJS and ANA would both take those deals and run.

I think VGK do that trade too. Especially with the retained salary.

Sh** the Pens will give u Rust for the 12 overall pick, Subban and Strome. Or Kapanaen.

Make the calls, Burke and Hextall are both still up partying.

It was on the proviso that Martinez gets a better offer so with retention combined they save money on cap and have the capacity to sign another Vet on the blue line to go for a cup run.

I agree with you both, Beaudin could be removed from this scenario. I feel like the Sharks would want an overpayment of some sort to part with Meier though and he would help us massively.

The flaw with this scenario is next years cap hit. this would require surgical shape shifting to manoeuvre.

Sh** for the 12th overall pick, Strome, C.Murphy, Hagel, A.Regula, M.Entwistle and Subban.

The Pens give u Marino, ZAR(rights), C.DeSmith and a 2nd and a 5th round pick.

I would still consider without Beaudin to be honest. It would be less enticing for sure, but still a much better offer than 99% of the Meier trades I see on this website

I will be doing a revised ACGM around Meier that is probably more suitable. Still based on the foundation of Strome + 21' 1st. Thanks for the feedback.

If it were say Strome + Beaudin/Nylander + 2021 2nd (CHI) would that still be of value or is that too far off?

Honestly that 1st is the main thing which really makes me interested. From there the pecking order would be Beaudin, Strome then Nylander.

It's not that Strome+Beaudin+2021 2nd would be bad, but it's just not quite as attention getting to us as that 1st.

I'm just curious about what you wrote on the Meier-trade about Lysell. Do you want Hawks to pick him at 11 instead of guys like McTavish, Coronato maybe Wallstedt (if you don't counts him out and thinks SJ or DET picks him). How does your top 5 (realistic at 11) looks like for det Hawks in your opinon?

I want him above Coronato, but Im not confident McTavish or Wallstedt will be there when our number comes up so I used Lysell as a guideline. TBF Meier is prob a better deal than gambling on the #11 turning into a player like Meier. It also advances our rebuild and we are likely to get a decent pick in the 22' draft still if we don't improve our D.

My top 5 picks for our #11 are: Edvinsson, McTavish, Lysell, Wallstedt, Coronato.

I would not complain if we took Meier with that deal. Especially this year with this draftclass.

My top 5 for 11th is almost the same as yours except I woud have taken Wallstedt after Edvinsson.
