I think Seattle or Vegas should be trading for him maybe the Rangers but sounds like Ducks are the front runners. I was thinking though why shouldn’t Colorado?

Gotta imagine the Sabres decline. Likely those two first round picks are going to be late first rounders. Other than that the other pieces don’t bring much value to the Sabres

I don't think Colorado will be in in Eichel, just because they have Landeskog and Makar to sign this year, and MacKinnon in a few years, they can't take a huge contract like Eichel and still be able to sign all those guys.

Agreed! The lowest a Makar bridge could be is 6-6.5. As much as 1 -2 punch with Mack and Eichel would be insane, and as much as I could see Buffalo wanting that value for him, overall this trade hinders the Avs in terms of depth and cap space. Both will be huge in the next few years.

Kadri is 31 y/o UFA at the end of next season. NO CHANCE Ottawa give you White and Nick Paul. They give you the SJS 2021 2nd round pick and you say THANK YOU.

No they don’t. They don’t trade Kadri at all. No soup for you. His contract works perfectly with Newhook getting this coming year to break into the 2C role. Maybe they re-sign him at the end of the season maybe not but one year of a 2C is a whole hell of lot more valuable to a Stanley cup contender than a 2nd rd puck from a weak draft that MIGHT contribute in 3 years.
