Savard hasn’t earned that much AAV or term. At best I’d give him that much on a 1 year deal to convince him to come here, but nothing more. 1 year term should be the max anyway. I don’t think we trade Forsberg, the whole point is to have Gustavsson sheltered in the AHL to start the year, and come up to try and take over the backup role mid-season. Wouldn’t mind Kadri if he comes cheap though. Could include Tierney, maybe even half-retained, as an asset going back to Colorado.

A waiver wire goalie and depth picks wont get you a 2c nor do they do anything for a team looking to win now.

Its possible for Ott to get Kadri as they have the young players to do so, but it would have to be someone that wouldn't make sense for Ott to move like Norris.

Lets not forget what happens when GM's call Sakic.

they have to move him before expansion and with a 25+game suspension looming if he gets suspended again his value will be down, plus only 1 year under contract

No no they do not have to move him before expansion and no he doesn’t have a +25 game suspension looming.

Kadri has a m ntc and Ottawa could easily be on his no trade list

Avs are not moving their 2c for an ahl goalie and draft picks, awful trade

This is called making up facts to support your position. They are going to protect him, so there is no rush to trade him for that reason. Tell me how a suspension that is looming (for reference the definition of loom is about to happen) hasn’t occurred or how hypothetically a suspension goes from 8 games to 25+ that is just absurd unless you somehow can tell the future. Also tell me why a Stanley cup contender would trade a 2C for a waiver wire goalie when they will already have 5 goalies under contract and a 2nd and 3rd round picks that might actually help in 2 or 3 years. Further tell me why in the world would Kadri approve a trade to team that didn’t make the playoffs and isn’t remotely a Stanley cup contender.

It’s amazing how some people will take a story throwing out potential names of interest and assign some value they see fit under hypothetical situations they make up.

And if you are thinking the Avs are going to go 4-4-1 in the XD this exposing Kadri 1) they aren’t EJ is going to waive so they go 7-3-1 2) EJ loses his mind and won’t waive the Avs buy him out or trade him because his NMC is really a m-NMC and he can be traded to 19 teams 3) the Avs accept he doesn’t waive out off signing Landeskog and still protect him.

It is a bad trade...but I would hope the sens stay away from Kadri if he was available.
